Peter H. Wayne III, MD

Dr. Peter Wayne (Retired) joined Surgical Care Associates in November, 2013. Born in Detroit, Michigan Dr. Wayne attended the University of Notre Dame where he earned his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree and Wayne State University School of Medicine. He then completed his internship at the University Hospitals of Cleveland and returned to Detroit for his Radiology residency and his fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the Wayne State University School of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals.

Over the past 37 years, Dr. Wayne has practiced general Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology here in Louisville and now joins us after serving as Medical Director of the Norton Audubon Vascular Access Center for the past eight years. His current practice and interests include caring for patients with kidney failure (ESRD) and the varied problems which can develop with their access while receiving dialysis.
Dr. Wayne is certified in Vascular Access Hemodialysis procedures by the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology. He is also active in several national and international societies, including the Vascular Access Society of the Americas (VASA) and the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology (ASDIN) and has had the pleasure of lecturing at annual meetings and symposia with regard to vascular access procedures.

Dr. Wayne has been married to his wife, Judy, for over 40 years and has three married children and six grandchildren.
