Dr. Joseph Liechty joined Surgical Care Associates in August of 2014. He is originally from Kalispell, Montana and attended Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois for undergraduate studies. He completed medical school at the University of Arizona in 2007 followed by an internship and residency in General Surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He finished training in vascular surgery in 2014 at Baylor University Medical center, the second-oldest fellowship in the country. He is Board Certified in General Surgery and Board-Eligible in Vascular Surgery, and a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. He is currently a candidate member of the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery and presented at their National Meeting in 2014 in Carlsbad, CA.
Dr. Liechty’s surgical interests include angioplasty, stenting, and bypass for the treatment of peripheral and visceral arterial disease, open and endovascular repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms, endovascular repair of thoracic aortic aneurysms and dissections, carotid artery surgery or stenting for the prevention of stroke, treatment of venous stasis disease, thoracic outlet decompression, and the creation and maintenance of dialysis access.
He has office hours at the Surgical Care Associates office at 4003 Kresge Way, Suite 300 in Louisville Kentucky. He participates with most medical insurance carriers including Medicare.
